COLLABORATION
Art brings people together and together we succeed.
In order to realize it's mission of promoting the research and visibility
of Northern Visual Arts the Kari Huhtamo Art Foundation seeks to collaborate
with other organizations in the field of art. Two current joint projects are
the organization of seminars and the Northern Artist -project that seeks to
bring the works of Northern artists to limelight and to public conscience.
2011 Seminars
Relatio Artis
26.5.2011
The collaboration between Kari Huhtamo Art Foundation and the University
of Lapland continues. This time we also had a new partner: the City of Rovaniemi.
Relatio Artis –seminar engaged established and acclaimed art professionals as
collaborative partners in an educational effort to enrich and encourage the
students interested in pursuing a career in the arts. The seminar was also a
tribute to the creative Northern spirit: this public offering contextualizing
the artistic process coincided with the opening of the House of Culture Korundi.

was realized in co-operation with the Amos Anderson Art Museum. The first artist
of the triennial was Sauli Miettunen. The selection criteria fell solely on
the production of the artist: The esthetic nature of the works and their
ability to speak for themselves and enrich the viewer’s life with a positive
surge of energy.
